Journal This Day, August 05, 2020 This matter came on for hearing. It is the order, judgment and decree of this court that This matter came before the Court the 4th day of August, 2020 for a pre-trial conference. The Court has been advised by Assistant Law Director, Marshall W. Finelli, that the defendant failed to appear for this hearing. Upon a review of the docket in this case, the Court notes the defendant previously failed to appear on June 30, 2020 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. This warrant was served and the defendant was released on an own recognizance bond with a new hearing date. The Court was notified the defendant was in "confinement" at CROSSWAEH and rescheduled the matter until after the defendant was released. A new hearing notice was sent to the defendant at the address he previously provided to the Court. The defendant failed to appear. As a result of the defendant again failing to appear, the Court directs a bench warrant be issued for the defendant's arrest. The matter is continued until the defendant's apprehension. Speedy trial time is tolled pursuant to R.C. 2945.72(D). the defendant may want to contact the Hancock County Public Defender's office for legal assistance.
