This Day, July 02, 2018 This matter came on for hearing. It is the order, judgment and decree of this court that This matter comes before the Court by way of Probation Officer Griffith. She informs the Court the defendant, Thomas Brown, has an appointment scheduled at the Century Health North Campus on 07/03/18 at 4:00pm to receive his first injection of the vivitrol shot. She recommends defendant Brown be released from the Justice Center to attend this appointment and then follow-up with the associated recommended treatment and all other probation requirements. The recommendation is well taken. Therefore, it is the order of the Court that defendant Brown be discharged from the Justice Center on 07/03/18 at 3:30pm to be transported by Century Health staff to receive the vivitrol shot. He must comply with all recommended treatment associated with the vivitrol program and drug court. This Day, June 29, 2018 This matter came on for hearing. It is the order, judgment and decree of this court that This matter comes before the Court by way of Probation Officer Griffith. She informs the Court the defendant, Thomas Brown, has been accepted to the vivitrol program through Century Health. He has scheduled appointments on Monday, 07/02/18, at 9:20am at Century Health for his nursing education and psychological evaluation. Century Health staff will be transporting the defendant to these appointments and then making sure he is promptly returned to the Justice Center at the conclusion of the appointments. Probation Officer Griffith recommends for defendant Brown to be furloughed to attend these appointments. The recommendation is well taken. Therefore, it is the order of the Court that defendant Brown be furloughed from the Justice Center on 07/02/18 at 9:00am to attend his appointments at Century Health. Defendant Brown shall be released only to Century Health staff member, Bill Fedirka, who will transport him to these appointments and then return promptly to the Justice Center to continue incarceration. It is ordered that no other stops will be made on the way to and from these appointments. The defendant is not allowed to make any outside contact with family or friends notifying him of his whereabouts or asking them to meet him at his appointments. Any attempts at outside contact may result in his termination from the vivitrol program. Judgment This Day, October 20, 2016 This matter came on for hearing. It is the order, judgment and decree of this court that This matter came on for consideration this 20th day of October, 2016 upon defendant's motion for an Own Recognizance bond filed by his attorney of record, Paul Maekask. The basis of the motion is to afford the defendant the opportunity to participate in a Salvation Army in-patient drug treatment program located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Implicit in the motion is a request to continue any court hearings while the defendant is in treatment. Upon consideration, the Court finds the motion well taken. Accordingly, it is ordered that the defendant be released from custody on a Personal Recognizance bond subject to the following conditions:
1) Immediately upon his release from the Hancock County Justice Center the defendant is to report to this Court's probation department and sign a release of information so this Court's probation department may monitor his treatment progress.
2) The defendant is to provide specific information including the address and contact information for the Salvation Army program he will be attending.
3) If the defendant is not admitted into the Salvation Army program or admitted into another drug treatment program he is to immediately notify this Court.
4) Within one week of the defendant's release from the Salvation Army or any drug treatment program he is to report in person to this Court's probation department.
The clerk of courts is to continue holding any previously posted bond.
The matter is to be scheduled for a pre-trial conference with the Court in 45-60 days. The defendant's speedy trial time is tolled pursuant to ORC. 2945.72(E)&(H).
